Wohoo, I participated at asiancon100 for doing a Yamapi icon challenge, but unfortunately this community is closed or about closing down. Well, I don't really need any community to do the challenge anyway :D :D I only used the given 50 themes from asiancon100.

I kinda love the "no icon" icon the most LMAO:...b/w...i'm just a sucker for b/w thigns.

but aside from that...the darkness and the serenity and the meloncholy ones are my fave from this batch ♥

I think it's cool that you do your OWN challenge at your own pace and time, who needs a com for that....you don't need nobody giving you their blessing to iconize teh pretty :D

totally looking forward to the rest of the 100 icons, my lovely !!!

YEEEES!!! When I first saw this certain pic, I knew THAT must be my "no icon" one :D:D. So you can basically say, my first icon was a no icon LMAO

Oh, the melancholy one was one of the hardest in terms of how to iconize that certain pic right. So I think out of all icons this one look me the longest time LOL (aside from the banner LMAO. Man, I hade 4 completely different versions *lol*)
Yes, the darkness one!! I'm pretty proud of myself, because I just LOVE how it turned out, well not that I didn't plan things BUT some affects just came unexpected, like the "destroying angel" *gg*

Exactly! I have "preasure" of completing them or something like that :D:D

Wow, the 100 icon challenge...imo a tough but very interesting task/project. I'm so looking forward to you revealing your icons step by step (or batch by batch *g*)! :)

Hehe, yeah...first of all I gotta say that your "no icon" icon already rocks, quite an eye-catcher. And now to your first batch, I love them...you did such a good job. My favorites are Black & White, Melancholy and Darkness.

I was pondering about the "lights" theme quite some time *lol* and then I suddenly found the perfect pic :D:D Well at least I think so^^

Ah, the "numbers" theme was also not that easy LOL but then I came up with the idea blueprint-->copies-->making lots of copies from one person-->many (1,2,3,4...)-->numbers LOLOL what a thinking circle *lolol*

Awesome style there, guess I don't even have to mention that this black/blue mix makes me happy, eh? ;)
hehe, I thought you might like that one especially^^ I don't know but I think I have my "blue periode" *gg*

koji__chan I also love the "numbers" icon for the exact same reasons....after all it's the gerbyl/koji__chan connection...i mean the colour blue and combination blue/black
and I LOVELOVELOVE the idea with the black bar that says "blueprint" that is really smart, as expected obv :D:D but really , smart good looking icons like that are rare to find , and so it stands out...I really like that one as one of the best from this batch.

also the "lights" although i didn't like him with the super long hair that much , but b/w pics...what can i say...and of course the lights..you know i love those light stream thingies...it MAKES the whole icon without being overloaded with tons of brushes and crap...it's very simple in a way (which you know i love) but the lights just MAKE the whole athmosphere and all.

and one of my faves from this is also the "silly" icon....*chuckles* it's just really...cute!!!! ♥

JAAA!! The light theme. I immediately thought of that exact picture!! Actually I am always looking for pics that might fit the theme without soooo much changes, as in brushes, letters etc.

LMAO, Yamapi played in TEH dirt LOLOL. It had to be that one! Although it could have been "cute" or "smile" LOL but I decided it had to be silly *gg*

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee NEW BATCH *bounces*. I really enjoy seeing this icon table fill up more and more with so many well done icons, all different and special in their way, and not just applying one way of editing to all of them. It makes it interessting to look at each icon individually and seeing it's very own unique style!!

I feel like "memories" is a very much "YOU"-icon...the colours and the pic and the cropping...it screams YOU from how i know you. is it one of the icons you like best for yourself??? I really do like it...and red is not even one of my fave colours but it just works so well..

My favourite has got to be the "falling" one...I like how you didn't interpret it literally, cause that might have been a bit stupid..i dunno i couldn#t imagine...but i knew you'd find a pic that would express "falling" in a metaphorical way really great...and you did. I love the pose...(lol since i have my hair shorter i ruffle through the back of my head a lot myself /random)and just you know and icon where you don't see his face...yet it says so much...absolutely love it.

the "heaven & hell" is another great idea you've come up with...*sigh*..and so true regarding the money theme there...again...the composition and font...perfect.

"tradition"...see some might have just taken a pic of him in "traditional clothes" but you added the factor of the icon looking traditionally "old" as well..like a bit of a polaroid effect, you know the colouring and the blur. i know polaroid is not very "japanese tradition" LMAO (although in a way..it might be..new-tradition LOL) but just to explain the effect and how much i like it...in a non-perfect-pic-making-a-good-icon-kinda way..

"holiday" and "feel" = just ♥ ♥ ♥ .period.

LOLOL, well what can I say...you are absolutely right about the "memories" icon :D:D Also this is one of my "experimenting-icons" and I love it!!

*nod* It really would have been stupid if I just put a pic upside down or something LOL and since there is no picture of him literally falling (as far as I know) I wanted it to be an "inside-falling" so to speak :D I can only agree with you regarding yamapi's pose here O_O It is really a strong pose!

moneeeeeeeeeey *cries* it really can be hell, not having it ALSO it can be hell IF you have it.....Originally I made that icon a long time ago but I wasn't satisfied with it, so I tried and tried.....aaaaaand I stopped, because at some point I had to, because I didn't want to destroy it :)

weeeee, THAT was exactly my intention!!! :-* I was pondering about how I could make it more traditional. That was when my mum showed me some old family photos and I noticed, that they are yellowish, blurry and then it hit me *lolol*(/babbling)I SO love that photoshoot and especially THAT pic, because:
1: the fan!!! *eeeeee*
2: that he is lively smiling and not: oh traditional clothes, lets be serious *lol*

And here's the next batch. =) Congrats on another beautiful batch!

Holiday and Rain just give off a certain and beautiful atmosphere/feeling which I can't describe, but I feel it.

Fear has this gorgeous blue-ish tone which just draws me to it. Whereas in Memories it's the gray/red color that I find so appealing, the picture fits too, *lol* of course. In 005 I like that it's b/w except for the red word taste and the "thingie" he holds in his hand^^. (which I cannot really recognize)

I'm pretty sure that he holds a little apple in his hand, which would also go with the word "taste" pretty fittingly LOL. I'm not 100% sure, but like 98%, because i do think i recognise this pic from a photoshoot, where he had that apple in his hand, BUT (!!!)when i was in japan...the apples i saw were pretty HUGE (pears as well)...and by huge i mean HUGE. so there goes my 2% un-sureness. can you tell i needed to kill some time just now LMAO

w00t!! a lot of un-themed ones this time...a lot i like :D:D:D
themed ones first:
messy & pissed off are my very faves ♥ the "don't look" in b/w is a really good idea and the cropping - as usual - is just perfect in that one, just the lower face and the hand reaching out woaaahhh just really cool. it's one of my all faves from this icon challenge till now. and the messy one is just ♥ not only because it looks good as it is, but every fan immediately knows what scene it belongs to (from the dvd) and simply because of the scene it triggers in my mind this is pure win. I like the not overloaded graphic effect of just that...scribble there-...
anger is a close second for me though.....

now to the numbers:
9:mhmm just really nice picture...makes a nice icon
14: ha I know you love that picture LOL...and the very very light lilac shimmery tone in that...very good...juust right, seems like a lilac sun is shining on him or something..
16:you managed to make me love this icon, despite me not liking the general picture all too much cause of the hair...i mean i liek the pics, but not my faves, but this icon is one of my faves ♥ again nice cropping
18: *rawr* ♥ 'nuff said.....perfect!!!

In general i can only say over and over again that you are so good at cropping, you always manage to pic that perfect "snippet" of the whole photo and just by choosing that the focus is awsome. In addition , you know by now how much I love that your icons arenot overloaded with brush/effect/font crap. You let the icon-picture "breath" and "take effect" on it's own.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!

YESS!! :D:D The "pissed off" I like very much too. I had two other ideas for the text but I think that one suited the icon best:D

but every fan immediately knows what scene it belongs to
*nodnod* :D:D I also made a cap of him shewing gum, wher you actually see the gum but I decided to go with that one *lol* Yeah, that "scribble" is one of my new brushes *yays for new ones*

9:mhmm just really nice picture...makes a nice icon
I nicely kind of edited the hair a little bit, since they are so super curly in that pic *gg*

Ah yes, the trucker-glases as I call them LOLOL For some reason I think it looks damn cool :D I did a little experimenting with the colour, hehe

BOAH, #18 I almost went crazy by editing that pic *lol* As you might remember it has this uhm vertical stripes, I don't know if that is the scan or if the actual picture looks like that. Anyways icons-sized that effect sucked big time and I tried to edit them all out LOL. BUT it was worth it :D:D

You let the icon-picture "breath" and "take effect" on it's own.

Yes, the jacket ♥ ♥ ♥ It was really difficult to get a good cap though :| I mean the quality isn't bad but you know *lol*

Hehe, the laughing icon is from Chubaw desuyo! I didn't want to make a gif, as I don't intend to do one in that challenge at all so I was desperately looking for a good laughing pic.

and they all look so pretty, for this final batch : love, trust and cute are my faves and from the numbers: 34, 35, 39 (this one looks so freaking cool with the colour effect, it screams kurosagi)and 42, 43, 44 ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm speechless by now , I've already repeated myself over and over in previous comments, so i don't want to make this comment all lame by repeating myself once more, but really to sum up this super 100 icon chalenge:

Also the "love" one. Man I was pondering like crazy because you know I didn't want the theme to be all conventional and predictable. Also I interpreted "love" not only as love you have for a partner or so and I thought, what does Yamapi love.....the ocean :D:D:D and there you have it LOL

#39 is really intense, isn' it? I absolutely LOVE that icon!
